President and CEO
Carine Clark is formerly SVP and CMO for Symantec. In this role, Clark was responsible for global campaign and field marketing, partner and product marketing, branding and marketing communications as well as public relations and analyst relations.
Clark has twenty five years of experience building successful software companies. As an executive at Altiris and Novell, she was responsible for driving top and bottom-line company growth through fiscally accountable and operationally efficient marketing. Her leadership helped establish Altiris as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world, growing revenues from $62 million to $230 million during a four year period.
Throughout her career, Clark has directed and integrated diverse teams including product management, sales support, alliance, field and global marketing, event, brand and communications management. She has demonstrated expertise in bringing companies and people together through dozens of acquisitions with the exceptional ability to quickly promote best practices and to drive integrated teams toward common goals.
Clark received a master’s degree in business administration as well as a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Brigham Young University. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including recently being ranked by ExecRank as #47 of all CMO’s worldwide in 2012. She’s also received the Women Tech Leadership Excellence Award, the 25th Annual TWIN Award, and the Silicon Slopes v100 Award.
Adam Edmunds directs the company's strategic vision to help customers use feedback data to predict trends in customer/employee satisfaction and to take action that will positively impact the bottom line. Adam has led Allegiance to become the 5th fastest-growing private software company in the U.S. according to Inc. Magazine, and a Software Magazine Top 10.
Edmunds entrepreneurial path got an early start when he founded two companies while still in college. In 2009, he sold one of those companies, ethics reporting software company SilentWhistle, to industry leader Global Compliance. He also purchased feedback software company Inquisite in 2009. Edmunds has received recognition for entrepreneurship, including Utah Business Magazine's 40 Under 40, Connect Magazine's "Entrepreneurs to Watch", Brigham Young University's (BYU) Entrepreneur of the Year, and 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist. He holds a master's in accounting degree from BYU.
Chief Operating OfficerAt the young age of 12, Bassam began high school; he was accepted to university at the age of 15; and began programming professionally at the age of 16. He has since used his education and profound intellect to seize a multitude of opportunities. Prior to MaritzCX, Bassam served as chief business officer at the publicly-traded software company inContact (NASDAQ ticker ‘SAAS’) where he led the company’s customer and revenue operations. During his five-year tenure with the company, its market capitalization grew from under $100 million to nearly $600 million. Bassam has worked with many leading-edge technology companies such as Omniture (acquired by Adobe), Siebel Systems (acquired by Oracle), IBM and Phillips Electronics. With over 25 years of experience in enterprise software and the cloud space, Bassam has effectively led diverse teams of all sizes internationally. Bassam holds three international patents (the first awarded at age 28), and is an active business and technology blogger (including Wired). He is passionate about mentoring others and sits on a number of civic, non-profit, and start-up technology boards. Bassam has three degrees in computer science as well as a master’s degree in business administration.
EVP Worldwide Sales
Ed is responsible for driving Allegiance’s sales execution and operations world-wide. Ed is a senior sales leader and general manager of both industry leading publicly held and venture backed software companies. He has successfully built global sales, presales, and channels sales teams resulting in accelerated growth rates. Ed has been part of executive teams at Altiris and Numara, and taken those companies through successful sales and integrations into Symantec and BMC Software.
Before joining Allegiance, Ed was vice president of mid-market sales for BMC Software. Ed was also vice president of EMEA sales of the Altiris business unit of Symantec. He has driven sales growth at leading technology companies and organizations with more than $1 billion revenue in areas such as infrastructure management, CRM, ERP, and SaaS. His areas of expertise include sales, sales management, business development, IT operations, and finance. Ed attended Hofstra University majoring in Accounting.
Chris Cottle leads marketing strategy / management for Allegiance.
Chris has extensive experience in technology brand building in both B-B and B-C markets. He came to Allegiance from Tandberg Data (previously Exabyte), a global data backup hardware manufacturer, where he ran global marketing. Chris started his career on the agency side, marketing large technology brands such as Iomega, Infocus, and Adaptec. He started his own marketing agency, Oxygen Studios, which he sold to Caldera (now SCO). Cottle helped Caldera go public and acquire SCO. He left SCO to launch a health publishing company that was acquired by a competitor. Chris was named a Channel Chief by CRN Magazine and is a member of the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) Council.
EVP Development and Technology
Jason is responsible for all aspects of technology and product development at Allegiance, with a goal of ensuring Allegiance has world-class capabilities and processes in place to ensure success for existing and future clients.
Jason has been an engineering leader for almost two decades with enterprise companies including Novell and Omniture (an Adobe company). At Novell, Jason was recognized twice as an employee of the year while he led the engineering of products with revenues in excess of $100 million and development teams on 3 continents. While at Adobe, Jason was instrumental in reshaping the search marketing products resulting in more than 25% annual growth. Jason holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University and an Executive MBA from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. He advocates Kaizen in all software development practices with an acute focus on quality metrics to drive improvement.

EVP Partner Success
Troy Monney is responsible for strengthening relationships with strategic partners to jointly grow revenues, and ensure the delivery of exceptional value to customers.
Monney is an established marketing executive with more than 22 years of experience building and leading successful marketing teams for global enterprise software companies. His work history combines an extensive background in technology, infrastructure software, and business-to-business marketing with outstanding communication and leadership skills. Prior to joining Allegiance, Monney was VP of Americas marketing for Symantec, VP of global field marketing for Novell, and channel sales, marketing and product marketing for Novell and WordPerfect. Monney has a BS in finance from Brigham Young University, Marriott School of Management.
VP People, Talent, and Culture
With 15 years of human resources and executive recruiting expertise, and over a decade of additional sales and broad business roles, Dennis is a natural at identifying talent and building winning organizations. He is best known as a catalyst for rapid and progressive change within a business to drive results.
Serving in leadership roles is not unusual for Dennis. His tenure at numerous companies was driven by his dynamic style and ability to quickly assess, implement key strategies, and effectively turn around companies.
Prior to Allegiance, Dennis worked as vice president for Mercato Partners to help grow the company portfolio and brand. Other roles include CEO for both Chargeback.com and Start-HR to consult and recruit top talent for rapid growth. Under his leadership, Dennis increased revenues by 400% while growing gross margins by 72% in a 12-month time period. When employed at Fusion-io, Dennis led expansion efforts to increase employee base by 400% and growth into ten countries over an 18 month period.
Dennis enjoys mentoring and has served on the board of directors for several companies. He has published about leadership and recruiting, and has received numerous awards for his business prowess. Dennis received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration.
SVP EMEA, Global Mid-Market Sales
Steve has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software industry. For the past eight years he has been intimately involved with the Net Promoter Score (NPS) concept serving as SVP worldwide sales for Satmetrix. Prior to Satmetrix, Steve was the CEO and founder of Systino, Inc. a software company that provided NPS software to the SMB market. Prior to Systino, Steve was managing director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa for CDC Software, was COO of Stonesoft USA, and held a variety of executive sales and marketing positions early in his career.
VP Best Practices
Jennifer leads the Allegiance Best Practices team and focuses on cross-team collaboration, developing strategies to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention for Allegiance’s customers. Jennifer created and ran one of the world’s largest and most renowned customer satisfaction programs while acting as Director, Market Research at Fidelity Investments. Her contributions helped the firm win Forrester’s Voice of the Customer Award in 2011.
Jennifer specializes in providing market insights, program development, and customer sentiment analysis with the objective of driving customer acquisition and market share growth. By identifying moments that matter and key metrics impacting the customer experience, she has helped many customers leverage the power of the Allegiance technology to achieve insights that have fundamentally changed and improved their businesses.
She has received numerous awards for her leadership, including Utah Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40, Survey Magazine’s Top 20 Researchers You Need to Know, Women in Tech Award Finalist, and winner of the Forrester Voice of the Customer Award. Many of the customers Jennifer works with have gone on to receive awards and recognition for their customer experience programs.
Jennifer earned a BA in Business from Saint Leo University and an MBA in Global Business Leadership at Johnson and Wales University, Providence, Rhode Island.
VP Product Management
Mark Magee leads the product management team at Allegiance.
Mark is an accomplished product management and marketing executive with nearly 20 years experience in bringing solutions to market that solve key customer challenges. His background includes extensive product management, product marketing and business development experience for very diverse and global product lines. Mark has led teams successfully with a keen eye for detail and is known for his positive influence. Prior to Allegiance, Mark was at Symantec, where he held responsibility for Symantec’s market-leading Endpoint Protection and Management products. Mark has previously held leadership positions at a number of technology companies including Altiris, Ancestry.com and Folio Corporation. Magee has a BS in finance from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Westminster College.
VP Solution Consulting
Eric Weight is a 20-year veteran of the computer software industry and former manager for Deloitte Consulting. He currently directs the professional services team responsible for all implementations of the Allegiance suite of products. Eric began his professional services career as senior consultant, then manager, with Deloitte Consulting in Detroit. At Deloitte, he tempered his management skills on IT strategy projects for clients like Owens-Corning, R.L. Polk, and Morrison Knudson. Prior to joining Allegiance, Eric served as vice president of Attensity leading its professional services division where his team implemented text analytics and customer experience solutions for many companies including JetBlue, Bose, Sony, Travelocity, Royal Bank of Canada, Symantec, Delta Airlines, Nokia, Apple and Whirlpool. Previously, Eric served as managing partner in a high-tech marketing agency ranked in the Inc. 500 and was a finalist for the 2001 Utah Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Eric also serves as an adjunct instructor of Marketing at the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Management. Eric holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Brigham Young University, and an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University.
